Docking station for comfortable usage

Many people are not aware of what a docking station is exactly. It is basically a raised area like a platform into which we can install any gadget. There are many docking stations for ipods, laptops depending on what we need. But why do we need a docking station. For instance if we are not traveling we can connect our notebooks into he docking station so that it looks like a desktop computer and we can use a normal keyboard and monitor too with the help of a docking station. 

A docking station contains many slots for connecting the printer or monitor. When we need to travel we can easily disconnect the laptop from the docking station and carry it while we travel. There are docking stations available for ipods too. The purpose is the same it is just that the equipment changes. They are also known as port replicators as they act as a port connecting two things. 

Before we use a docking station we must be sure how t use it so hat we don’t end up messing up with our notebooks. There are various types of docking stations. With some we can undock without even switching off the computer while with some we need to switch of the computer first before we undock. Some allow the computer to go in to sleep mode before we dock or undock. Docking station is a new concept which is catching up soon with many.
