Zeebo To Succeed Where Wii, Xbox and PS Have Failed

There is the Nintendo Wii, The Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Surely there cannot be another console out there. But there is and it is called Zeebo.

Zeebo is produced by a company of the same name and it has been financed and supported by a company called Qualcomm, that is famous in the industry for being a chipmaker. The Zeebo has a range of features that are enticing and functional. It comes with four games already installed in the console ready to be played, as well as 3G wireless connectivity and a bonus 5th game that is downloadable for free included in its packages.

While it may not sound very different to the major consoles, Zeebo is aimed at developing countries. Most of the big names have tried and failed in this ambition because they have been deemed to costly, but Zeebo looks as though it may penetrate this difficult market and provide gamers in these countries a console that is functional, technologically advanced and inexpensive.

As opposed to other console makers, Zeebo will make its games readily available, by using the 3G wireless function installed in the machine to simply download games directly to the console ready to be used. Consumers will not be forced to go to a particular retail store to buy games. This makes the process easier and much cheaper with one source suggesting games would cost no more than $15.

If Zeebo succeeds where the other consoles have failed, a mark will be made in gaming history and in the history of developing countries.
